The MPD-510 is a high performance Multi-magnification optical instrument featuring five distinct magnifications and great flexibility in configuration choices. Its modular design allows for the attachment of a variety of imaging adapters, including CCD, 35mm and many professional digital still and digital video cameras. It employs the optical body as well as the imaging adapters of the XPZ system. It features the latest design in parallel optics and a common objective lens, improving the depth of field, optical clarity, contrast, and dimensional quality of the specimen under examination. Its long working distance, excellent contrast, and super wide field of view characterize this instrument as superior to its competitors. It also features a 48mm to 75mm interpupillary adjustment; the largest range available in the industry. Mechanically the XPD-510 also excels, with a large comfortable base, precise and resilient ball bearing mechanical focusing, and superior ergonomics. These microscopes are used extensively world wide in medical research and health care, biology and botany research, agriculture, as well as electronic component manufacturing.
